Biodome and the Olymipc Stadium in which it resides
If you are ever in Montreal and you want to do one of those touristy things that you have to do. I seriously recommend the Biodome. It was cool. We got to get in for free, through our flatmates brief and now ex girlfriend, who turns out to be lovely, and we really enjoyed it. I SAW TOUCANS! they were great. At least i think they were toucans, small ones though. Not those big ones you see on TV.
Here is a photo of a puffin (we also saw puffins) I have resorted to borrowing pictures from the Bidome website, as the poor puffin I saw looked a bit overloaded, as if one more camera click would just send him over the edge. Some bastards still used flashes, despite all the many signs around asking you not to.
Kevin also got us a complementary tour of the Olympic stadium in all its 70’s (former) glory and a ride up the tower. Maybe
its because i am a sucker for cute animals and tropical rain forest environment replication, but I liked the bio dome better. Still, it was super wonderful of Kevin to hook us up and i can now say i have been in the tallest inclined structure in the world. The tour was quite informative, just not really my cup of tea.
We did take more photos of the stadium than the Biodome, due to its lack of cute and pestered animals, and overwhelmingly desperate feel. like no one has really loved it, ever, in its whole life. poor Olympic stadium. taking photos out of pity is like rubbing it on the back and whispering, “Everything will be ok.”
