Some Monsters are Green

December 15th, 2008 Posted in Uncategorized

Nestling into the warmth of our new house I sat in wonder at the parcel I had before me on the kitchen table.

We had received word from our old flatmate Kevin that some mail and a parcel had arrived for us.
Naturally, we rushed over there – more enthusiastically than ever before – and collected our treasure.
From the moment we lay eyes on the wonderful and distinctive illustrations that covered the marvelous parcel we knew it was from our grand friends Andrew and Shannon.

Making our way to our new lovely abode tout suite we began to unwrap the mysterious package with vigor.

We were greeted, in our swiftness of unwrapping, by an extraordinary and grumpy looking green monster with a sullen face that spoke in reptilian tongues of ancient battles and past foes made meals of by it’s gnashing, teeth and he threatened in a very convincing manor that if we were ever to wrap him up and ship him across the seas again that he would make pastry of our crushed dried bones and gobble up the souls of our unborn children.

After we accpeted his request he opened up quite congenially.
Inside the belly of the beast were such wonders I almost wept with glee.
